Annie Proulx
Annie Proulx is an American author of literary fiction novels, short stories and non-fiction books. She is the author of the short story Brokeback Mountain , which was adapted into an Academy Award, BAFTA and Golden Globe Award-winning film. Annie graduated from Deering High School in Portland, Maine, then attended Colby College briefly. She later earned her B.A. in History from the University of Vermont and her M.A. from Sir George Williams University (now Concordia University) in Montreal. Annie spent 30 years living in Vermont, then moved to Wyoming (and Newfoundland), and now lives in Washington State. She has three sons and a daughter.
