Colum McCann
Colum McCann is an Irish-American author of literary fiction. After studying journalism at College of Commerce, Rathmines, Colum began writing for various newspapers in Ireland; this gave him an excellent platform to start his fiction-writing career. Since then, he has been a recipient of such honours as the National Book Award, the International Dublin Impac Prize, a Chevalier des Arts et Lettres from the French government, the 2010 Best Foreign Novel Award in China, and an Oscar nomination. Colum lives in New York with his wife, Alison, and their three children.
