Edna Buchanan
Edna Buchanan is an American author of crime fiction/mystery novels and true crime non-fiction books. As a novelist, her best known work is her Britt Montero series. Buchanan is also a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist – an award she won in 1986 for her work as a police beat reporter in Miami. During her 18-year career as a journalist (working for the Miami Beach Daily Sun and The Miami Herald ), Buchanan reported more than 5,000 deaths (3,000 of which were murders) and also covered kidnappings, riots, fires, plane crashes and more.
