Jane Haddam
Jane Haddam is the pen name of Orania Papazoglou, an American author of mystery novels. She is best known for her Gregor Demarkian novels and also wrote the Patience McKenna series. Jane has taught college courses and worked as a magazine editor. Jane received an Edgar nomination for Best First Mystery Novel by an American Author for the novel Sweet, Savage Death . She would later get another Edgar nomination in addition to a 1991 Anthony nomination, this time for Best Paperback Original for the novel Not a Creature Was Stirring . Jane was married to fellow mystery author William L. DeAndrea until his death. Their son, Matt DeAndrea, has written books for children.
