Katia Lief

Katia Lief is an American author of crime fiction, psychological thriller novels and literary fiction. She was born in France to American parents, but quickly moved back home to the East Coast of the United States where she grew up. After graduating from Sarah Lawrence College, she would return to Paris. Months later, she returned to the U.S. to get a publishing job in New York (among other jobs) and then got her Master’s in literature and creative writing. She has written under her birth name of Katia Spiegelman, Kate Pepper and Katia Lief (which she appears to have settled on). She writes the Karin Schaeffer series.
