Lauren Kate is an American author of YA paranormal romance novels. She was raised in Dallas, Texas and got her Master’s degree in fiction from the University of California. Although her Fallen series was set in a boarding school, it is not based on Lauren’s high school experience. However, she based the high school in The Betrayal of Natalie Hargrove on the school she attended, Plano Senior High School. Lauren is a USA Today and New York Times bestseller.
