Laurie Friedman
Laurie B. Friedman is an American author of children’s books and young adult novels. She writes the Mallory McDonald and The Mostly Miserable Life of April Sinclair series. Growing up in Arkansas, Laurie spent her time sitting under a magnolia tree in her backyard writing. She studied literature at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana and also studied at the Sorbonne in Paris, France. Laurie worked in the advertising industry for many years and also worked as a freelance writer for various newspapers and magazines. Besides writing, she loves to read, dance, hike, bake, do yoga, watch movies, go to the beach and spend time with her family and dog. Laurie lives in Miami, Florida, has two children, and is often speaking at schools across the U.S.
