Marguerite Henry
Marguerite Henry (1902-1997) was an American author of animal-themed children’s books. She wrote the Misty series. Marguerite’s favourite topic in her books was horses, but she also wrote about other equines, dogs, cats, birds, foxes, and other animals. And of course, the relationship humans have with these animals. Her novel Misty of Chincoteague was adapted into the 1961 film Misty.
