Rita Herron is an American author of romance and romantic suspense novels. She is a USA Today bestselling author. She fell in love with reading when she read her first Trixie Belden book at age 8. Rita wanted to be a writer, but didn’t think it was a real job that real people did, so she became a kindergarten teacher. Now, instead of telling stories in class, she writes them on paper so she doesn’t need a “real” job. Rita enjoys romantic suspense stories that combine murder, mystery and romance as well as some romantic comedies.
