William Nicholson
William Nicholson is an English novelist, screenwriter, and playwright. He is best known as the author of the play Shadowlands which was made for television and won the BAFTA Best Television Drama award. He then adapted that for the stage and it was named Evening Standard Best Play of 1990, and then went on to a Tony Award winning run on Broadway. The play was later made into a film by director Richard Attenborough and Nicholson was nominated for an Oscar for the screenplay.
