Goosebumps is a series of children’s horror novels by American novelist R.L. Stine . The series mixes horror, supernatural elements and humour. Upon launch, the series gained tremendous success and spawned a television series hosted by Stine that lasted four seasons. There is a new protagonist in every book, which can either be male or female and are middle class kids. Stine considers the fact that the books do not contain drugs, depravity and violence to be a major factor in Goosebumps’ success. The books range from 110-140 pages.
