Macdonald Hall is a series of young adult novels by Canadian-American novelist Gordon Korman . The series is set in a boys’ boarding school called MacDonald Hall, located just outside of Toronto. The main characters are Bruno Walton and Melvin “Boots” O’Neal, who enjoy stirring up trouble in their school and for the headmaster, William R. Sturgeon (aka “The Fish”). The series is also known as Bruno and Boots.
