Neal Carey is the protagonist in a series of crime fiction novels by American novelist Don Winslow . Neal Carey grew up on the streets of New York and was headed down the wrong path until he meant a one-armed private investigator named Joe Graham. Graham raised Neal and allowed him to get an education at Columbia University. Now, in the ’70s, Neal Carey is a reluctant P.I. who travels across the world, but is living in a village in Yorkshire, England.
