The Tufa series is a series of urban fantasy novels by American novelist Alex Bledsoe . The Tufa are fairies, whose origins are a mystery, but somehow they ended up in Cloud County in the Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee. They are enigmatic, and are not trusting of others.
